Goal
To enable you to synchronise your Diary with external calendars, such as Google Calendar or Outlook, ensuring you can seamlessly manage viewings, meetings, and tasks across your preferred calendar apps.
Why
This integration simplifies schedule management, reducing the risk of missed appointments and enhancing productivity by allowing you to stay organised in the calendar app you use most frequently.
Setting up
The first step to synchronising you calendar is to link the diary to your preferred app. We support any app that allows you to allows you to subscribe to a calendar from a URL, and it should be just a case of adding that URL into the calendar from within that calendars settings menu.
Getting your URL
Go to Tasks, and click the 'Subscribe to calendar' button at the top, next to 'Create New'. You'll then see the unique URL for your organisations calendar!
Click Copy, and this will be copied to your clipboard!
Subscribe to your calendar
In your preferred Calendar app, you'll be looking for an option along the lines of add/subscribe to calendar. From there you'll want to add the URL when prompted, then name and customise your calendar! We've provided some common examples below:
Google Calendar
Step 1:
Find the 'Other calendars' section in the left hand pane, then click the '+' to bring up the menu..
Step 2:
Then, the 'From URL' option.
Step 3:
Paste the URL into the field.
Step 4:
You'll then find your new calendar in the 'Other calendars' section. Click the 3 dots to the right of the calendars name when hovering over it to customise this calendar. Select the preferred colour, then 'Settings'.
Step 5:
Then you'll be able to change the name of your calendar. There are other settings in here you can play around with as well!
Step 6:
Done! Simple as that! You should now see your viewings, tasks, and anything else from your diary in your Google calendar! When you add, change or delete an item in your diary, the changes will flow through to your Google calendar.
Outlook
Step 1
In the left hand pane, click 'Add Calendar'
Step 2
Select 'Subscribe from web' in the Add calendar pane that pops up.
Step 3:
Give your calendar a name, customise the colours and icon. Then select which section you'd like this calendar to appear in.
Step 4:
Done! Simple as that! You should now see your viewings, tasks, and anything else from your diary in your Outlook calendar! When you add, change or delete an item in your diary, the changes will flow through to your Outlook calendar.
Mac Calendar app
Step 1:
Click File in the top bar, then 'New Calendar Subscription'.
Step 2:
Paste your URL into the field provided.
Step 3:
Rename your calendar, then select how often you would like it to automatically check for updates.
Step 4:
Done! Simple as that! You should now see your viewings, tasks, and anything else from your diary in your Apple calendar! When you add, change or delete an item in your diary, the changes will flow through to your Apple calendar.
Handy Tip: The sync can range from almost instantly to a couple of days.
