Goal

To provide practical and effective strategies for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving potential bugs within the system, ensuring smoother operation and minimising downtime.

Why

Ensures smoother operation but also minimises downtime, enhancing overall productivity and user experience within the system.

What is Bug

Bugs can manifest in various ways, such as broken links, incorrect content display, security vulnerabilities, slow performance, or features not functioning as expected.

How best can we report a Bug to Kato's Support Team

Clear Your Browser Cache

  • Sometimes, cached files can cause display or functionality issues. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, and try reloading the page.

Check Your Internet Connection

  • Ensure your internet connection is stable. A slow or interrupted connection can cause websites to load incorrectly or time out.

Try a Different Browser or Device

  • Sometimes, bugs are browser or device-specific. Try accessing the website using a different browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari) or another device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) to see if the issue persists.

Update Your Browser

  • Outdated browsers can cause compatibility issues. Make sure your browser is up to date with the latest version.

Disable Browser Extensions

  • Extensions or plugins might interfere with website functionality. Temporarily disable them and check if the issue is resolved.

Test with a Different Network

  • If possible, switch to a different network (e.g., mobile data instead of Wi-Fi) to determine if the issue is related to your current network.

Document the Bug

  • Take note of what happened, when it occurred, and any error messages or codes. Capture screenshots or screen recordings, if possible, to provide visual evidence of the issue.

Check for Announcements or Known Issues

  • Visit the website’s support page or social media channels to see if the issue has already been acknowledged by the developers.

Contact Support

  • If the issue persists after following these steps, contact the website’s customer support. Provide them with detailed information about the bug, including the steps you’ve already taken to troubleshoot, so they can assist you more effectively.

By following these steps, you can often identify and resolve common issues on your own or provide valuable information to support teams, which can help speed up the resolution process.
